We are currently expanding our breeding program, and we are looking for local Middle TN families to join our Guardian Program! This is an amazing opportunity which doesn't happen too often. About
We introduced Guardian Homes in order to allow us to expand our breeding program, while still providing each of our breeding dogs a loving and caring home. The Guardian dog is your family pet and a part of your family, while ownership is retained by Precious Puptown Doodles. The puppy is "pick of the litter" and is of substantial value, while your upfront cost for the puppy itself is $0.00.
The Guardian is responsible for all vet costs associated with routine yearly veterinarian exams. This includes yearly booster vaccines (distemper/parvovirus, rabies, bordetella, influenza, leptospirosis) and heartworm testing. The Guardian is also responsible for monthly heartworm medication, flea and tick prevention, and other preventative medications including vitamin supplements. We will cover all medical expenses related to breeding.
Once the dog has passed all required health testing, it will enter into our breeding program. This typically takes place around 18-24 months of age, but sometimes earlier for male dogs. Once we decide to retire the Guardian dog from our program, we will spay or neuter the dog at our expense. After this takes place, we will legally transfer ownership of the dog to the Guardian Family.
We realize Guardian Homes are not a good fit for all as you will be without your dog at times and must follow specific requirements outlined in our Guardian Home contract. This program is great for families who are flexible, patient, and can afford routine pet care! Below are some of the obligations of being a Guardian.

Along with getting a "pick of the litter" puppy at no cost, we also offer free boarding (on a limited basis) when you go on vacation. We also pay $500 for each litter whelped for female Guardian dogs so long as the Guardian abides by the contract (on time grooming, vaccinations, etc.)
This is only a brief summary of our Guardian Program as we have a detailed legally binding contract that will be signed and notarized before placement.
Being a Guardian and caring for a dog is a big commitment, so please talk with your spouse and family members before inquiring. If you are seriously interested in being considered, please click on the button below and submit an application. Thank you for your interest!
